RP Anniversary: Reina

Next up for July!!

Sketched on paper, flat color in SAI. Next picture in a series I'm doing, drawing the kids from mine and Gem's RP a year to the day they were first used, got it? Good!

I say first used. This will be the case MOST of the time. There are a few instances where the kids are born and it's stated that they're born, but for one reason or another they aren't used until a later day. If that happens I'll be posting them on the day that they are BORN. If they're used the first time on a different day then I'll state that in the description, or on the picture itself.

Parents: Takeru "TK" Rivera and Lye'lyei
Siblings: Older half-brothers, Baralai and Radhi, older half-sisters, Jade and Cassie, and a baby brother on the way

I've explained TK's story pretty thoroughly on a picture I did of TK a year ago, and since I still love it so much and it's way easier than retyping it I'll just post the thumbnail here.

Long story short he's Teikaru's modern day reincarnation, and the total opposite of his former life as far as personality and pretty much...everything.  However he's taken responsibility for the messes Teikaru caused, and that's why Baralai, Jade, Cassie and Radhi are listed as half siblings.  Genetically he's not exactly their father but his soul is a reincarnation of their dad so...yes XP

To be fair nobody's sure how genetically similar somebody would be to their former life if they were reincarnated...in theory they wouldn't be identical since we're all unique, which is why I say he's not 100% genetically their father, and yet coming from Teikaru's spirit and being a redo of his life spiritually he's still their father, if that makes any sense. Regardless of numbers he still feels a responsibility to care for them.  It's mostly Radhi since Cassie had Akeme and Baralai was grown up by the time TK shows up, but even after Radhi gets Armin for a father TK stays close by and tries to take care of them all.

TK's very important too, for he holds Teikaru's dark spirit at bay and protects them from being harmed.  He built up a resistance to that darkness, like immunity to a poison after exposure to it, and proved he was stronger than his past life.  It was worrisome to Lye'lyei, but it's been awhile and he's done just fine XP

Again, he meets Lye'lyei shortly after he meets everyone else, and they realize not only can they trust him, but he's there to help protect them.  He's the universe's attempt to get Teikaru's spirit shoved down for good and make some sense out of the pain he caused.  Lye'lyei is a shark, and sharks have a bad reputation among Guardians, but Lye'lyei proves she's different. She looks after a little dragon child named Chi, claiming she's her sister.

The relationship with TK and Lye'lyei is slow and sweet and quite romantic.  Again, TK's the total antithesis of Teikaru.  He had a relationship with Lilith, which was also slow and romantic, and when he loves he loves hard with all of his heart.  Letting Lilith go was hard, but he's happy she's being taken care of by Razi at this point, and having Lye'lyei gives him the chance to love again, and love he does.  Again his difficulties with Teikaru's lingering spirit worry her, but he always assures her he'll be alright. He's open and honest, and goes above and beyond for her and their baby daughter Reina.

Appearance wise Reina is...practically a mini clone of her mother, but still a nice mix.  The pink in her hair comes from her mother.  Here's where it gets tricky; the purple color can be considered a combination of TK's gray fur, and possibly Lye's pink mixed in lightening it.  It's pretty unique.  The peach above her eyes comes from Lye'lyei as well, and so do the peach markings on her body.  However, on Lye the areas that are peach on Reina besides above her eyes, are black, while the rest of her fur is white.  It would be easier to explain if you could see Lye'lyei XD Those shark "ears" come from Lye'lyei too as well as the hair style.  Her blue eyes come from Lye's dark blue shade being mixed with TK's green eyes.

She's half shark, half echidna.  Quite a mix XP  She dresses like her mother but has a water drop pendant similar to the one her daddy wears.

Personality wise she's a sweet girl.  She's got Lye'lyei's playful spirit, but TK's calm influence is there.  I'm pretty sure his and Lye'lyei's son, when he comes, is gonna be the TK clone.  They even affectionately call him baby TK XP Reina will still always be her daddy's princess though.  He does everything for her and her mother <3
