RP Anniversary: Annalina

Next up for February!!

Sketched on paper, flat color in SAI. Next picture in a series I'm doing, drawing the kids from mine and Gem's RP a year to the day they were first used, got it? Good!

I say first used.  This will be the case MOST of the time.  There are a few instances where the kids are born and it's stated they're born, but for one reason or another they aren't used until a later day. If that happens I'll be posting them on the day they are BORN. If they're used the first time on a different day then I'll state that in the description, or on the picture itself.

Bio time!!

Full name: Annalina Rodnara
Parents: Baralai and Reiyaa Rodnara

First used the same day she's born, which, yes she's a Valentine's baby.  Something good about this otherwise ORDINARY day XP

Annalina is Deannalee's third grandchild, since Jade has two daughters, Alexina and Claire.  Deannalee, by the time she is brought back in the RP, is also a great-grandmother at this point, since Alexina and her husband Alex have three children, twins Brycen and Aspen, and Annalee.

Baralai is Deannalee's oldest child, and until she is brought back, her only son.  He dies protecting his mother during the attack on Spirit Island at the age of 13, dying shortly before his mother.  In heaven, the two were reunited with baby Cassie, the child that died inside Deannalee, and Akeme, the spirit who would try and comfort Deannalee out of love, and would spend time with Baralai and Jade while they were children to comfort them.  For the next several decades, they live in Heaven together as a family, Baralai aging up five years so Cassie can grow into a five year old.

WoLaD has been over for fifteen odd years, and by the time Deannalee is brought into the RP that takes place during this part of the after story, Jade has passed away along with Joel, and the family is together for a short time, until of course, Dee is taken away from them by Kyoushiro.  Akeme leaves Heaven to live again to be there for her and her unborn twins.  Baralai stays with his sisters and grandparents, just happy Dee and the man he considers his true father, Akeme, are together.

After Deannalee has the twins, she and Akeme are wed, and Baralai and his sisters and grandfather come to the wedding.  A short time later Deannalee has her baby boy with Akeme, Sunta-Dyllan, and not but a day later Akeme reveals his plan to bring Baralai and Cassie to live with them.  Jade doesn't come since she had a chance to live her life, but since Baralai died at 13 and was abused for all of those years by his blood father, and Cassie never got the chance to live at all, they're able to come and live with their family again.

A few months later, a new girl comes into the mix.  Her name is Reiyaa, and she comes along as a friend of Galaxy's, to meet the Guardians above.  She is a doctor, and a part time scientist, later revealing she is trying to figure out how to save her father, whose spirit has literally become infected by a tree, turning him into one and trapping him.  She receives help with this from Oblivion, Isis, Cynthia, and Sophie, and yet he faces a long road to recovery.

While all this is going on Baralai meets her a few times, and after seeing initial infatuation people encourage him to spend time with Reiyaa, namely his father Akeme.  Having died at 13 he didn't have much experience with relationships, having never liked a girl before, but he approaches it optimistically, asking Reiyaa to go on walks with him, and picnics.  He helps get her through the difficult time with her father, and eventually he's even able to get up and walk again.  This provides for interesting bonding between Razel, which I believe is Reiyaa's father's name XD, and Baralai, after Razel learns of Baralai courting his daughter.

Razel approves though obviously and gives Baralai and Reiyaa the best.  Courtship and smitten hearts turn into romance, and little Annalina is the result X3

Annalina's name is a combination of Deannalee's name and her mother's, Casselina.  It was chosen by Reiyaa, who wanted to put their names together into something special for her little girl.  She does it again with her son, who she will be having soon, naming him Akame, after Akeme.  Annalina's colors come largely from her mother, the white fur and the purple and blue shades, althought Baralai has blue hair as well.  Her overall echidna look comes from Baralai, as well as her brown eyes, which she got from Deannalee through him.

When she's young Annalina is a shy girl, very soft and gentle, but Baralai adores her.  It's rare that you see him without her, and he'd do anything for his sweetheart.  He's one of those very devoted fathers, one that takes good care of his kids but isn't so, so strict, especially on his girls, giving them the chance to spread their wings.  Trust me though, if Annalina is ever upset he'll be amiable about it, but he takes her happiness very seriously.

Obviously she loves her Daddy very much X3 She loves her mother too.  She's just a good girl that isn't overly shy, but isn't overly loud either.  One thing worth note is Annalina struggles with gaining her elements, which is strange because by blood every girl descended from Alamalie always has all four elements.  No doubt she'll eventually get them all, but cultivating the appearance of the first one was a bit of a chore, and was hard on her.  She's just a bit of a slower learner.  She's got her father going for her since he is still considered the most powerful water-wielder ever.

Reiyaa not having elements isn't to blame, since Jade and Joel's girls both got all four elements, as did Aspen and Annalee, with Brycen getting three.
