Niena of Music

A LONG overdue gift masquerading as an art trade with the most awesome friend ever <3

Haha, so, Gem wanted me to draw Niena. I was gonna draw her anyway since, you know, Gem is so awesome and Niena is such a beautiful character <3 But, then she said well let's make it an art trade and I'm like, lol why not? XD

She drew Sarah and Persephone for me since they are a lovely couple

And she wanted Niena drawn ^^ I tell you, I worked EXTRA hard on this. Seriously how often do I do FULL color pictures WITH a background? Not very often XD

So let's see...sketching was less than 30 minutes...inking took a few hours, 2 to 3. NOW. The REAL time taken was the COLORING! Gah! It took me ALL DAY coloring on and off, and that wasn't the end of it.

Niena's coloring, her fur, was impossible to get to look right with color pencils. The light pink parts of her were all done DIGITALLY. I basically had to clean up the pencil marks then fill them in with the light pink shade.

Still, editing only took a couple of hours since there wasn't any white space hardly except for the whites of the eyes

Niena's hand touching the wall kinda bugs me but, I'm really happy with this =3 Gem deserved an awesome picture seriously <3

Course, she DOES have her birthday coming up in December...and Christmas...not to mention UnDark and Ophelia's anniversary is on the 4th... LOL She's awesome she deserves the art <3
